I am a gigantic film watcher and I should have invested in some stock in Blockbuster because I am always there renting and returning flicks for my high definition television.

The people at our local Maplewood store even know me by name. I am not embarrassed though, I love movies, and they give me an escape from my long hard day at work.

One day after viewing my latest rental, I was channel surfing and I discovered many HD stations I didn’t even realize I had. One of these was part of the on demand feature through my satellite provider. I was growing with joyfulness as I browsed down the list of movies I haven’t seen.

Many of them weren’t available at my DVD store because they were sold out. I found at least six of them I wanted to watch that night. I chose to settle on one just to see the difference in the DVD HD quality image versus the on demand film.

As soon as it started, I detected a difference. Jeez, was I in trouble now, I no longer will have time to do the long chore list I have at home because I have discovered HD pay per view. After going through almost every movie in the list, I had to go back to my video store.  Read more...

Easy Virtue is a social comedy movie directed by Stephen Elliott and stars Jessica Biel as Larita, Ben Barnes as John Whittaker, Colin Firth as Colonel Jim Whittaker and Kristin Scott Thomas as Veronica.

According to the story, Larita (Jessica Biel) is an American widow and a successful racecar driver meets John Whittaker (Ben Barnes), a young Englishman who falls in love with her. Soon, they both marry each other in the South of France. When they return to England to meet his parents, John’s mother — Veronica (Kristin Scott Thomas) strongly dislikes her daughter-in-law, since she is an impudent American like Colonel (Colin Firth) — John’s father who speaks fluent French and likes Larita a lot, since he finds a similar spirit in her.

Larita life in John’s family is like a living hell for her, especially with Veronica who strongly strict her in involving in car race. Larita also finds difficult to move with the younger daughter of the family — Hilda, as she embarrasses her a lot. As the days go on, Larita is much disappointed since John is not ready to move out of the house. She feels as if she lost her independence completely.

At one stage, Larita meets John’s former girlfriend and neighbour Sarah Hurst (Charlotte Riley) who comes to the join Whittakers’ parties, and to play tennis. Sarah is often accompanied by her brother Philip (Christian Brassington) on whom Hilda is has a crush but gets anger over Larita since Philip gets infatuated with her. Whenever Larita tries to satisfy Veronica, she gets resented by her mother-in-law. If you are a movie lover like I am, then you have probably scoured the World Wide Web to take you to a place where you can enjoy unlimited amounts of free movies day or night!  While this is too good to be true, there are legitimate websites that present a happy medium to everyone. 

The best movie downloading site is going to offer you:

1.)    Legality.  Do not break the law when you download movies.  This is called piracy and there are increasing numbers of people who are being forced to pay fines for illegally downloading copyrighted material.  You do not want to be one of them.

2.)    Variety.  I love action movies but I do not want to watch them all the time!
